GRAM PER PERSON: FOR THE SAKE OF THE SONG.

In the 10 years+ since their last release, the music world underwent a change of pace.

If we rewind the time back to 2012 the year of Gram Per Persons previous release, the music world has undergone a paradigm shift. Established niche artists have gone from getting paid for recording, to paying for getting their music out and have it played on streaming services. In addition, this has meant that musical entrepreneurship increasingly has revolved around tactical promotion on social media. This has come at the expense of the music, so Gram Per Person (GPP hereafter) has repented a reluctance to do all this. Hence the shortcomings of income, GPP has turned to what they enjoy most. Set on writing songs and playing concerts , they have focused on applying for music recognition rather than promotion in a sense. 

The band, consisting of members from a number of reputable bands in western Norway started as an experiment, an outlet for passionate music that can be said to spring from the tradition of Gram Parsons, Neil Young, the Stones towards a more modern bulk of rock-meets-country artists in the ever growing americana genre. Contemporary artist to diverse to mention inspires the quintet additionally and has continued to do so . Since the band has stomped the grounds for a handful years, this process has taken them from "cowpunk" and folk rock , to today's expression towards classic Americana.

After putting last touch on their new album , and getting a new deal with Apollon Records, the band have now recognized that they need to get back to streaming channels to reach new audience . Feedback from pre-listeners of their forthcoming album can attest they are showcasing stronger tunes.
